For on of our customers we are looking for an experienced Optimisation Engineer.
The candidate shall be part of the RAN Performance team acting as a 2G and 3G Senior Optimisation engineer and part-time participate in a large scale 2G Network Quality Improvement project (Synthesized Frequency Hopping).

The candidate shall be responsible for the following activities:

• GSM/GPRS/UMTS RF Optimisation and performance management in a network with substantial traffic load to meet and maintain contractual network quality KPI’s.
• Optimization of GSM & UMTS network parameters, both for specific geographical problems and network wide improvements.
• Optimization of GSM & UMTS site configurations and topology based on coverage and interference criteria.
• BSS/RNC features parameter audit, testing and introduction.
• Capacity and change management.
• Handling of trouble tickets to address customer complaints and radio network incidents.
• Production reports, guidelines, procedures and presentations.

It is expected that this candidate shall have at least 8 years experience and the required education and hands-on knowledge: 

• Education at Bachelor level in Electrical Engineering (preferably Telecoms). A Masters degree is preferred.
• Must have experience and knowledge of Ericsson GSM/GPRS/UMTS systems, with emphasis on BSS 07B and W-RAN P7FP
• Experience of RF planning with obvious knowledge of antennas, frequency planning and RBS/NodeB types.
• Experience as GSM/UMTS optimization and/or performance engineer in GSM/UMTS radio networks with substantial load.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Ericsson BSS/RNC statistical counters, KPIs and parameters.
• Must have experience with Ericsson OSS RNO tools, mml commands and TEMS.
• Knowledge and experience with Business Objects, MapInfo, Atoll, SQL and basic UNIX.
• Must have good English language knowledge (spoken and written).
